Training New Leaders

By admin

Roy and Jetta had their first chances at learning how to lead, running with Louise and Ellie respectively. Both did well, Jetta being the better of the two (they are brother and sister). Our run was around the AU Ranches, but bumped up the mileage to four miles.

Hello. I am a student at McGinnis Middle School and you came to talk to my Language Arts class this week. I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed having you guys come and talk. Also, I wish you good luck this Iditarod! Thanks again, and I hope that you will keep in touch with our class!!

    Best of Luck!

    Hi Lindsay,
We really enjoyed coming to your school, you all were awesome. Thank you for taking the time to write us a note. You can let your class know that the training is going well and the dogs are running about 12 -15 miles 3-4 times a week now, and the mileage will increase every week. The dogs were very excited when it snowed, and we got about 6 inches at the ranch. Not enough to run with sleds, but enough to make the dogs happy and want to play in it! Have a great school year Lindsey, and again, thanks for writing.
